Free Manual Submission To Search Engines

Updated on November 17, 2015

Learn More About Search Engine Optimization

Free Ways To Get Listed In Search Engines

This hub is dedicated to learn how to submit your URL to search engines manually for free.

Over the past five years I have read claim after claim how a webmaster needs to pay money in order to get their website listed on major search engines. Those claims are not true. I have learned how to submit my URLs for free to major search engines and it does not take hours of your time to do it.

Once a month I sit down for about an hour to submit my many URLs to search engines. Firstly I open each of my websites and hubs in different tabs. Opening each website or hub in it's own tab allows you to copy and paste the URLs when needed to easily paste them when it's time to submit them. Doing so prevents typos. Then I open a new tab to start manually submitting my URLs to search engines.

Sign into your Adsense Account and click on the "Resources Tab". Under "Reference" click on "Webmaster Central" and from there you will see a link which says "Submit it to Google at http://www.google.com/addurl.htm.

Go to Yahoo.com and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Suggest A Site". Once there click on "Submit Your Site For Free".

Go to Orangesubmit.com and submit your Domain Name. Click "submit" and your on your way.

Go to Submitexpress.com and under "Quick Links" click "Free Submission".

Go to Addme.com and under "Free Search Engine Submission" click "submit now".

Go to Bing.com and simply submit your URL.

The search engines I suggest here at this hub are the search engines I use monthly. Sometimes I submit to many more and the way I do this is, I go to google.com, yahoo.com and so on and type in the search fields "free URL submission to search engines". Browse around this search results and you will come across many more search engines which let you submit your website and hubs for free.

Tip: When search engines review your website or hub for indexing they are checking your "keywords" or "tags". It's very important to use "keywords" or "tags" which fit your websites topic. For additional tips on "targeting keywords" visit: Targeting Keywords to learn how to get the best keywords for your website or hub.

Manually submitting your website or hub to search engines monthly can increase your chances of getting indexed and using "keywords" or "tags" can also increase your chances of getting indexed.

I hope reading this hub has helped you understand how you can use free resources to increase traffic to your website and hubs.

Here are a few extra simple to use search engine submission services:

When you submit web address/URL to search engines or directories keep in mind you might have to look around each search engine or directory. You want to look for Submit Link or Submit URL. Look at the top right, left or scroll down to the bottom of the webpage.

    Hello James Johnson:

I read your article on thekeywordacademy and I do agree with you. I have found using Hubpages and Shetoldme to help get my Hubs and Scoops indexed by Google and many other search engines.

I understand waiting 4-6 weeks to get index can be frustrating and unfair but it does work. I do practice what I preach and have been using my method for a while.

I use the Hubpages statistic page to keep track of where my traffic comes from and much of my traffic (now) comes from google, yahoo, msn and a handful of other web directories and classifed ad websites.

Thanks so much for posting your website here and I will use continue to read it. I sign into this Hub weekly. Thanks so much.

    Hi Ann,

Yes, I understand how important it is to get listed with the big guns but the smaller search engines bring a lot of traffic too.

    Have a great day.

    Hi Ken,

Yeah, when I saw your post I thought submit the URL to SE. Manually submitting URLs to SE occasionally is smart and over time you will see the website indexed. Good Luck.

    Hi Peggy W,

Yes, free manual submission does help you get your URLs indexed to major search engines. All free to use. The next time a major search engine is created, I will be adding it to the list. Bing is pretty new and very easy to submit to.

Many people argue with me about free manual submission but from my experience it does help get URL indexed to search engines. Free does work.

    Hello Twinkling,

Submitting your URL to search engines does not get your Adsense account disabled and I'm sure thousands of people would agree. The search engines offer the free service and that is exactly what it is for. There is obviously some other reason why Adsense closed your account.

I sent you a private message. Keep an eye out for it. Best of luck to you.

Even after three years, this is still tremendously informative. I was naïve enough to assume that search engines actually did internet searches.

Search Engines Robots do spider Websites and blogs but there are literally hundreds of thousands of articles, blogs and websites floating throughout the web. It would be impossible for Search Engines to scan them all.

Everything changes so damn fast online. Yes, eventually Search Engines crawl quality websites/URLs.
