The Bride Wore Black

Updated on July 5, 2014

My Bio

Glenda is a Licensed Minister, Certified Christian Counselor, Life Coach, Bible Teacher, and Conference Speaker. She has authored several publications including her riveting testimony, "The Bride Wore Black." She, along with her husband Stan, are co-founders of Sozo Ministries, an evangelistic ministry with a vision to teach and impart the healing power of God. She and Stan have been married for twenty-five years, and make their home in Poinciana, Florida.

The Bride Wore Black

A Journey from the Dark Side to Christ's Bride!

As a cancer patient who was the recipient of a medical miracle, I am compelled to help others believe and receive the same. Hence, "The Bride Wore Black" was birthed in January, 2009. The publication has been dubbed "a spiritual stimulus package for the discouraged soul!"

Wholly original and authentic, The Bride Wore Black is a true story of some serious sin...and a Savior!

Excerpt from Book...

"We must never forget that sin will always take us further than we intend to go; keep us longer than we were planning to stay; and cost us more than we were prepared to pay."

Amazon Book Review

From an Amazon Book Reviewer:

"Packed within the pages of this little book was actually three mini testimonies...which made for one great reading experience! I liked the fact that it was short enough to read in one sitting. Although a Christian and virtuous woman now, the author has not lost sight of her sorry beginnings as a reckless and rebellious young person. It truly is a book of hope...not religious hype. This woman is "the real deal" and not afraid to speak about real-life issues. Glenda's story related to my own on many levels. It ministered to me in ways that I have not experienced before. It instilled faith in me to believe that I can receive the same awesome results in my life. To the Christian and non-believer alike, I recommend The Bride Wore Black."

In a Tiny Corner of a Gigantic World...

Born to be Wild!

A small-town girl and farmer's daughter, I was raised in Millersburg, Pennsylvania. At eighteen, the provocative pages of my life were filled with rebellion and reckless behavior that only increased over the next ten years.

Chapter one of "The Bride Wore Black" chronicles this dark and desperate chapter in my life.

Life Comes at you Fast!

Over my Dead Body...

Excerpt from Book

"The ambush of the enemy came very early Monday morning, about 8:00. For me, it was as if I was walking down the path of life and suddenly stepped on a landmine. That's how quickly it seemed to happen. I came into contact with one of Satan's most deadly weapons. Although this explosive devise was planted years earlier, it wasn't uncovered until this day.

This particular type of landmine has killed or maimed countless multitudes of people, who just like me, never seen it coming. Unarmed and unarmored, I couldn't cope with this close encounter of the 'cancerous' kind. A very calculated, high caliber weapon had been released against me in this brutal conflict. I was on treacherous terrain without a treaty or truce, and no war plan."

"...There had to be some mistake. I was the epitome of perfect health."

The "C" Word!

A Miracle in Disguise?

At the age of twenty-nine, given a death sentence from stage 5 invasive cervical cancer, I was as distant from God as one can be. Feeling small and insignificant in a gigantic world, I thought no one had noticed my pain.

Imagine my surprise then, when the most powerful "Force" in the universe showed up unannounced. Right there in the doctor's office the miracle unfolded as God chose to dissolve my cancerous tumor, witnessed by one of the best Gynecological Oncologists on the east coast! God abruptly halted "man's plan" to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatments that day. None would be needed!

Excerpt from Book:

"Only God Himself could have brought forth a miracle of such magnitude. What I took thirty years to mess up, the Lord mended in a moment!"

The Message Behind the Miracle

When the Hurt and the Healer Collide!

A serendipity indeed...a divine disruption that radically changed the way I looked at the world, and the way I now live in the world.

During the past twenty-three years I have been compelled to lead a life devoted to spreading God's Word. With a passionate bold approach to biblical healing, my conviction is clear: "God is no respecter of persons, what He has done for me, is available to all." I believe and teach that regardless of a person's background or past mistakes, God loves them and wants to make them whole.

If You Need A Physical Healing ... - any one of these books will increase your faith to receive it!

How To Heal The Sick
How To Heal The Sick

This is my number one 'go-to' book whenever I need a refresher course in biblical healing. I literally wore out my first copy!

Healing Promises
Healing Promises

Everywhere I preach, I remind people that it is God's will to heal them. This book reminds us of the multitude of healing scriptures in the bible.

Healing the Sick: A Living Classic
Healing the Sick: A Living Classic

This was one of the first books I read after receiving my medical miracle. It truly is a classic!

Prayers That Bring Healing: Overcome Sickness, Pain, and Disease. God's Healing is for You! (Prayers for Spiritual Battle)
Prayers That Bring Healing: Overcome Sickness, Pain, and Disease. God's Healing is for You! (Prayers for Spiritual Battle)

Most of us want to be healed from physical infirmities, but often we do not know how to pray for that healing. This book will teach you!

Christ the Healer
Christ the Healer

This book was first released in 1924, and has stood the test of time. It reminds people that God is STILL in the miracle working business!

Sozo4all... - (that's the name of my ministry and website)

Through the message of Sozo (Greek word meaning "to be made whole"), miracles have manifested and God has been faithful to intervene in the lives of many.

I Never Leave Home Without This!

I give away boat-loads of this little booklet in the course of a year. I love it because it's so small, I can put several in my purse and have them available at all times. It doesn't matter where I go, I encounter sick people. People who are "sick and tired of being sick and tired!" Sometimes they've been sick so long, they have given up hope of ever being healed. That's when I give them this little gift.

This booklet reminds us of how much power our words have. Every word we speak will create something that comes back on us... either a blessing or a curse. It's so important, even in our pain, that we have a positive attitude and speak words of life and healing over our physical bodies.

The biblical principle in this book has literally changed my life; and for less than $2.00 each, I know it can help others!

@HSP Connections: Wow...I would love to know more about your wife's non-profit. Teaching, preaching and imparting the healing power of God is my passion in life - and it's so good meeting others throughout the world who are doing the same! Thank you for visiting.

I totally believe in healing miracles, as well as the positive effects of prayer and focused intent... especially when it comes from a group of people. I'm actually part of a prayer group (a non-profit founded by my wife in 2002) dedicated to healing. How cool that you're sharing your experience through a book!

@ideadesigns: "To whom much is given, much is required!" Sharing my testimony in order to instill faith in others to believe and receive their healing (body, soul, and spirit) is the very least that I can do! I really appreciate your visit and SquidLike, and the kind words from a fellow Christian and writer were so special to me. God bless your household!

Amazing and inspirational testimony and lens. It's incredible to see the hand of God at work in one's life, not only in miracles manifesting in the body, but ones that can transform the soul. Wonderful to get to know more about you, Glenda and thanks much for stopping by my lensography and for your kind words and encouraging words. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family. I was healed in 2008 of a thyroglossal duct cyst (birth defect) that, when infected, was interfering with my professional singing and speaking. God be praised! We followed the instructions for prayer and anointing in James 5, me and my church, and God moved. Great testimony you have.

I have seen/been a part of healings that happened right in my presence a response to prayer. Its amazing to witness actually. Some of the harder healings had medical help from surgery but the results are still amazing. My husband had brain surgery 8 years ago, and now he only takes one medicine and it works wheras before he had been on multiple medicines that could not control the seizures on their own. Its been an interesting decade. I'm so glad that you had healing from that potentailly bad cancer. Wow! God is Good.
