Amazon Mechanical Turk- Work from home for Amazon.com

Updated on May 29, 2010

Amazon Mechanical Turk

Hello fellow Hubbers and all others, thanks for checking out my hub on a great work at home site I've recently discovered. I'm relatively new to Hubpages. I've been here two months and must say it is a very good site for making a little extra income on the side. I'm currently a college student so every little bit helps. With the way things are looking, I should reach my first Adsense payout quota of $100 by the next couple days. But money isn't everything, Hubpages is just an all around awesome site. I have read articles from and messaged with some of the most interesting and smartest people the world has to offer. Not to mention the constant stream of great information is superior to many huge online sites, in my opinion. Making money or not, I will be using Hubpages for years to come.

I just sort of fell into this great site, up one night searching the internet I decided to check out different ways to make money online to see if I could find anything interesting and vwallaa(sp). I found this site, along with a few other legit sites, in an endless swarm of scams and dead ends. They all make it sound so easy but let's be honest with ourselves, we're probably not going to get rich in a very fast time frame with any online money making opportunity that doesn't require at least a resume. But it is very possible to make some extra money online with a couple hours of work a day, Hubpages is proof of that. There are a few other make money at home sites I've been working with, one in particular, that are just as easy to sign up for as Hubpages and let you start making money quickly, absolutely free.

WWW.MTURK.COM - Amazon Mechanical Turk

This great site I am speaking of is MTurk. A site run by Amazon that can be very profitable if you put a little time. You can easily make a few dollars a day, It's a close tie between this site and Hubpages at who's making me the most extra cash. It's called Amazon Mechanical Turk, which I have no idea why. But it basically works like this: People all over internet world need other people to do a lot of very small things for them. So, they list what they need done on MTURK and how many times they need it done. Many users then go through the list of many jobs and decide which ones they want to partake in.

For example: I completed two different jobs in the past day that I will tell you about. The first was called something like "Is this product in the right category". It needed to be completed over 500 times(not just by me) and paid .06 per completion. The job consisted of them giving me five pictures of different products. Each included the name of the product, its description, and the category it was in. Then it asked if this product is in the right category? You needed to check yes or no for all five products and that was it. You submit the job and can either do it again with five different products or find another job.

The next job I completed was just as simple, if not simpler, and paid .25 per completion. It only needed to be completed 6 times but was the quickest $1.50 I ever made, online at least. The job was to post an ad on craigslist. The ad title and all the necessary things were written all I had to do was post the ad(by copying and pasting) in one of the cities or categories they listed. When finished I just copied and pasted the URL of the craigslist ad and submitted the hit. The money was added to my account shortly thereafter.

There are many jobs to choose from on MTurk. From surveys, to search engine keyword help, to Craigslist postings. You can always find a way to make money here. There is no referral program but you can start making money immediately. Pretty good money if you wanna put in a couple hours a day, just doing small things. I guarantee if you sign up now you can make some money within the hour. Try it now.
