How To Use Social Media To Promote Your Articles Effectively

Updated on September 21, 2015

Promoting Your Article Is Important

Once you have written an article and it has been approved you should start getting a few views. This is good but not great as a small amount of views does not create a large income.

If you wish to gain lots of views then you need to actively promote your work. A great way to do this is by using Social Media.

Where To Promote Your Articles

This is one of the most obvious places to start. However posting articles on your timeline is not the best way of promoting your articles as you could risk alienating your friends.

The best way to use Facebook is to join groups that are relevant to the articles you write and then post your articles to those groups.

There are many groups to choose from on Facebook the hard part is finding the ones that are active as lots of them are not. Look for groups with lots of members and lots of recent activity.

Another great thing to do is share other peoples posts as this will encourage others to do the same for you. If someone shares your post you should always try to return the favour.

Twitter is another great platform for promoting your articles. For it it be effective for you you need to spend time searching for the right people to follow. This is so that when you post something you can tag them in it so they see it and hopefully retweet it for you.

Pinterest was going to be my next piece of advice. It is a great social environment for lovers of all kinds of images. One of my personal favourite places is YouTube as you can post links to articles under your videos and you can also embed your videos into your articles. If you have Adsense you can earn from both here and there.

I use both Twitter and Facebook. I also find that I get a lot of traffic when I share images on Pinterest.
