Writing hubs can improve your health

Writing is beneficial for you in more ways then one. It can promote individuality, confidence, and a strong oral skill. However writing can also help in other ways.

For those suffering from Emotional or Physical stress writing about it for 15-20 minutes 3-5 times can help you have a better outcome. Many times it helps you get the stress out and at times for others to hear what you have to say and help you through it. Writing is also a good theraputic release for trauma victims.

A study has also shown long term writing by subjects resulted in fewer visits to doctor. ( Reports of lower blood pressure, improved bodily functions, fewer days in the hospital and an overall feeling of well being. Other results included fewer days lost at work, increased memory and better grade point averages in students.

Therefore always express yourself even if it's writing a journal everyday to yourself that no one else reads, or tell the world your story. Perhaps writing should become the new healthcare bill, and your employers will thank you.

      This may very well be true. Expressing yourself in writing makes it clear what you think, to your readers but also to yourself. Many have kept a private diary in the past (and today) but a modern blog or hub articles can serve the same purpose.

      I agree. I didn't write because I was on vacation and what did I do? I fell down and injured my rotator cuff!

      Hi buckey! That´s a good title of this hub. Writing can really help our health. Writing in my diary when I was new in a foriegn country helped me overcome my homesicknesses and I even use my old diaries( which I still have) for finding a topic to write for hubpages.Thanks for sharing and following me.
