Contests, and the weekly HubMob, finding buried treasure

This is a Hub I wrote during a HubMob Writers Contest held my third month on HubPages, I did write Hubs with content for finding 'treasure' businesses in our town. I felt the need to encourage other newbies who were trying to learn how to work this contest, abide by all of the rules, and comply with all of the requirements. Today November 11, 2010, I have learned a lot since then, but this Hub does have good information and helps for the newbie. So...read on.

Arr. "Hub" Marks the Spot. Finding buried treasure. September 1, 2010

I was pumped about this contest. The theme of finding buried treasure in my town, and writing about gave me a solid direction for writing Hubs. By finding buried treasure around my own town, I was able to easily find material to write about

Princessa was the Hub Team Member who first published the contest, and helped explain the process. Simone Smith was instrumental in posting the link for entering each Hub wanted into the Contest Hub Forum.

In stories of faith and success, an extra little push often converts the impossible to a quasi-miracle change. One pot of chili will feed 80 because of faith and a wave of garlic over the pot.

There are parables and stories of every People the World over who have told about sowers and reapers.

Karma is a wonderful example.

Those who never sow, but hold on to old seeds, will eventually starve.

Only by planting seeds, and sweat equity a planter reap rewards.

The miracle of planting one seed is that what we reap is multiplied. We get a lot more than we contribute initially.

Thanks to HubPages, and the HubMob I started out writing 2 Hubs for that contest. Since that time, I have written over 50 Hubs about great treasures buried in Little Rock, North Little Rock, and am expanding to the entire State of Arkansas

In 2010 the U.S. Economy was struggling. The economy was trying to recover, but it required effort and care from all of us.

Small businesses had been hit especially hard in the past few years. Consumers had become more careful about spending money. Those paying cash, those who had not lived on credit, but we have paid our way. Those thrifty few, have a little cash saved.

In order to assist in our Nation's economic recovery we had to look for ways to boost our local economy..

By using our money as seed, we plant it in our Communities.

Our Taverns, Restaurants, and other Service Industries are buried treasures.

Our economy needed a good cash infusion. As a Hubber, I found myself in a unique position to help my ailing community and small businesses. By making this investment I received traffic, and interest to my published work, growing readers, and fellow writers. Many winners.

The September 2010 HubPages contest launched me into a direction for promoting tourism in Central Arkansas

Seed spending will result in a circle of giving, production, and prosperity. It is not hard to spend money when it is appreciated.

It is easier to give good hospitality and service to an appreciative and expectant audience.

If our small businesses and big ones too for that matter, realize that they are being evaluated for service, product and capabilities, they are going to offer better service and products.

Those who do not will rightfully fade away.

I cannot seem to do any good by merely voting in an electoral poll. People who can spend a little cash,(there is not much credit these days) are finally living in a time when their hard earned dollars make a difference.

Oprah Winfrey is one of the best modern day examples I can think of who proves when you give without limit to help others, you cannot help but prosper.

By living a little more, spending a wee bit of this tightly held cash, we will be able to spend

Write on! Find the hidden treasures of your town, join the Hub contests to see if you are eligible, and get to sharing. Read all of the rules follow them.

Make a difference, Seed your economy , and save your city! Bring tourism to your town, and tell them good places to go when they get there.

As a consumer, it feels great to be the person who is not just an every day customer. This is one who can bring you Search Hits, for places to eat, drink and make merry.

If I find a place I don't like, I just don't write about it. It may have been a bad day, week, month or year. They don't need my bad juju too. :8->
