A conversation with my second huber of the week. Luciendasky
A couple of weeks ago following a lift in the number of visits to my site I posed some questions. such as Which-hubber-visits-my-hub the most the most ? A successful and very popular hub in which I conducted an interview with new hubber CatherineR During the experience I accidentally tripped across another new Huber . Another Huber who has also only been on Hubpages three weeks as well just like CatherineR. Incredibly both CatherineR and Luciendasky who I am about to interview have already been nominated for the highly sought after and prestigious Hubnugget(s) of the Week. For two incredible hubs respectively.
I found the Hub nominated for a hubnugget award that Luciendasky posted particularly engaging and at the same time highly relevant to Hubers here at Hupages...The title "Cat got you pen! tips for dealing with writers block" is very catchy title and engages the reader from the world go !
You have been a member of Hub-pages for a couple of weeks now. What drew you to join and what do you think now after reading a couple of weeks of Hubs as well as writing a few yourself?
Since I was unemployed, I was looking into writing a blog page for knitters (which I still might do). I love knitting and a friend of mine suggested writing tips on different patterns and procedures.
I was checking my face-book account and saw an ad for hub-pages, and since writing was on my mind, I signed up.
When I was 5 years old, I told my parents that I wanted to be an "author" when I grew up.
My first grade teacher encouraged my class to write whatever we wanted and I wrote several "books" that year. Though I changed my mind on what I wanted to be several times as I grew up, I always came back to the desire to write or to be an author. Because of that, I have always enjoyed writing and have enjoyed the opportunity to write on hub-pages.
I think it is wonderful that there is a site where anyone can come and write and maybe even earn a little extra money on the side. I have read many articles on hub-pages and have enjoyed learning about people's lives, their interests and things they want to teach us.
Everyone is unique in their own way and has different things they find important and I really enjoy reading about all of those things as well as having the opportunity to write about things I find important.
Where are you from ?
Currently, I live in Eugene Oregon. I moved here six months ago from Bozeman, MT and have lived in Washington, Wyoming and Japan, where I was born.
What do you do during the day?
I have a very part time job where I color-correct photographs for an online company called slidescanningpros.com. When the slides are scanned, the color sometimes warps or is too light or dark and it is my job to correct that.
I was looking for another job as well, but on Wednesday I was accepted as a content writer to another company in my area and so I have been busy writing Internet articles for them all week.
So I usually work on one or the other or both in a day. I also love photography and knitting and work on developing my hobbies in those as well.
What sort of things are you writing about. What would you like to write about ?
Primarily in my "free time" I like to write little stories, but my hubpages writing has been more serious thus far. I like to write educational or "inspirational" writing as I do enjoy teaching, however I would like to write about several topics in the future.
What do you aspire to do in the future?
I would like to own my own yarn shop. I know... that is a little silly and maybe not the biggest, more imaginative dream out there, but I really want I nice cozy yarn shop! With coffee!
What about your family and other pastimes ?
I miss my family very much, as they are back in Montana. I moved to Oregon because my boyfriend moved out here a few years ago and I wanted to be closer to him.
I do get to enjoy his family - they are all very sweet, especially his little nephew who just turned 4.
I enjoy reading when I get the chance and I have really been trying to work out and lose a few of the extra pounds I have gained since being unemployed.
I enjoy a lot of things really, and am not usually picky about where I am or what I am doing. Mostly, I enjoy being happy :D.
