I made 5 Cents on Hubpages and It Became My Motivation
Now those reading this are probably thinking, "Wow, five cents? You can't even buy a pack of gum with that amount!".
To that, I say, "Yes, you can!".
Maybe not this year, or ten years ago, or ten years before that; there was a time you could buy 5 cent gum, decades ago.
It was an early Monday morning when I decided to check my earnings tab on my Hubpages as a way to see that I made exactly zero-point-zero money, as per usual. But this day was different; on this fateful day, I had made 5 cents. 5 glorious cents flashed on my screen in bold.
Instantly, I was overwhelmed with this joyous feeling. A broad smile was plastered across my face as I waited for the bus to take me home.
I made five cents!
Oh, happy days!
For most, this is nothing to be excited about. Actually, this most likely would become something you are increasingly upset about. It would make sense to not be too happy, you really won't be paying any bills with a measly five cents anytime soon.
Contrary to a normal reaction, my heart was filled with relief. I can do this, I thought to myself. These five remarkable cents proved what I knew would be possible all along, I could make money off of writing.
Now, I'm not talking about freelance work – you can always make money off of that. I'm talking about making money off of my own personal blog. I can write whatever I want and make money off of that?
It seemed almost too good to be true, but at that moment, I knew I was going somewhere. The sky's the limit, and all of those catch phrases.
Either way, I find it important to always thank the people that support you for helping you accomplish what you want. I know I am 'jumping the gun', so to speak, but this feeling... it's genuine happiness.
So thank you, everyone, for helping me make five cents on a bright Monday morning!
