Easy Hub Ideas Get More HubPages Traffic

Updated on June 12, 2010

More Hubs Means More Traffic

Whether you are new to HubPages or you have been a member of HubPages for a long time, there is one universal truth. The more hubs you have, the more traffic you will get.

This is not to say that having the most hubs means you will have the most traffic. Far from it. Many factors go into determining how much traffic a Hub author gets and how much traffic a specific hub gets. Everything from carefully chosen keywords, to link building, to cross-linking, to social bookmarking can generate more traffic for an individual hub.

Yes, even the quality of the hub can have a bearing on how much traffic it gets. Everyone always says Content Is King . That isn't actually true, but having good hubs definitely helps ensure that visitors stick around and click more links which means more traffic to your hubs.

However, for any given author, the more hubs that author has, the more traffic they will get. It is simple mathematics. More hubs means more potential chances to be displayed as a link on someone else's hubs or in a topic or category listing. More hubs means more chances to show up in search engine results.

Last, but not least, more hubs means more links to your existing hubs. Why? Because your profile page lists the hubs you have published and your groups and so on. If you have 100 hubs, then that means 100 hubs are linking to your profile which is linking to all 100 hubs. There is more link juice there than there is if you have 10 hubs.

Write Hubs Fast and Easy

But isn't writing Hubs a time consuming process?

Not as much as you might think.

Numerous Hubbers do nothing but put up pictures of hot actresses, beautiful women, or cute girls with just a minimum amount of text. These pages get plenty of traffic which in turn raises their Hubscore. Those higher hubscores average out to create a higher author score. Just go through the list of Top HubPages authors on any screen and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Even if you don't feel like pandering to the lowest common denominator with girly picture Hubs, there are plenty of other easy topics that can have you cranking out hubs by the dozens. Using these topics still means creating quality hubs with useful information, because people are interested in these categories. But, sometimes, as authors, we think that they are too easy, too simple, or too basic to cover. Don't make that mistake. People want to know what you want to know, so tell them!

Easy HubPages Topics

Create hubs fast for the HubChallenge of 30 Hubs in 30 Days or even the Lightning Hub Challenge of 30 Hubs in 30 Hours using these quick to write about topics.

  • Facebook Games - People love them, but they can be hard to find if you don't know where to look.
  • MySpace Games - Same as above.
  • Free Online Games
  • Places to Visit Near Your Hometown - Just because you live there doesn't mean anyone else knows where the cool stuff is.
  • Family - Horror stories, or tips, or how you get through an hour long conversation with Uncle Joe.
  • Homemade Crafts
  • Video Games and Tips
There are plenty more, but these will get you started.
