My Trip in Hubpagemobile so Far

Updated on January 25, 2019

It started 3 months ago

I have always wanted to write ever since I discovered that I could pour out my heart into words and make them portray the exact feeling at the time of writing. I searched for a long time and I started by buying exercise books and writing poems and song lyrics that were always going through my mind even at odd hours.

For years, I kept at it - not minding the inconvenience of waking up at odd hours of the night or early morning to put down dreams, ideas, songs or just diddle with my pen. From 1993 (when I never knew of the existence of the internet) to 2010, I kept writing and then just while surfing the net and looking for eHow article writing tips, I came across a site called hubpages (and I was ready to try anything, even climbing walls) and voila! I finally came home.

It is not the money-making thing or the desire to generate income but rather the joy of finding a place where I could finally offload all that I had been carrying. In the course of writing in exercise books, I lost a book of mine containing over 80 poems I had written at various times from 1993 till 2005. And I deeply regret lending that book to the friend who lost it.

Those were treasures I could have shared on hubpages.

However, I am still digging deep into the reservoir of the treasures that have been deposited in me to try and share with everyone who may come across the phenomenon called the hub page community.

You may not have the writing expertise but you have the talent - Hubpages is for you. I have been to Xomba, Toluna, eHow, ezine, Seekyt, Triond and they all have criteria that limit the budding writer who has no experience but at hubpages, you are groomed and you learn while at the same time you earn a few dollars writing.

Why not get started and watch your rating soar. I promise you, hubpages is a place you will learn and grow as a writer.

Ouch, 80 poems. Never mind, greater poems will be written and shared. It was good to hear abit about your journey into writing and sharing.. as a fellow poet/writer I can totally relate to waking up at 3 in the morning.. walking around with a dictaphone.. and scrambling for a pen and paper at the most inane moments.

      Keep on expressing! :)

I agree with you minakay.. I had no idea how much I would grow to love HubPages. Meeting so many great people and learning new things is something I didn't expect not to mention getting involved with adsense which has given me a terribly needed boost of confidence. It's been a great experience overall. Great Hub! I love the rhyme at the end :0)

What a terrible loss – 80 poems! HubPages is indeed a wonderful site where writers encourage each other to become the best they can be. It is more like a home for writers, where they can be who they are and not what they have to be in order to make money. Your writings impress and I wish you only the best of luck and prosperity ahead.

One of the best things I have seen to get more people to view your pages is to post links on your hubs to other similar ones you have written. If you can get one person to look at one thing and once the finished they instantly see a link to something else you wrote it could get them to read something else. And thus you had made one person into two.

Thanks for your comments, MPG1. I am persuaded that you can make some money alright. Just look for the hubs that deal with making money and surf them. I rather am concentrating on generating enough traffic to my hubs and I sincerely do not know how. Thanks again.

^_^ this was very cute and like much of your things I have read inspires great hope and joy. Just like you Minakay I have reached my 3 month mark for being on his site and reading what you wrote here almost inspires me to try to write a similar things as you did just now.... but I know even if I were to try I would never be able to state it as simple and elegantly as you already have.

Though your words also make me debate one other thing. With all the hubs I have written so far thought 3 hubs in the thought crossed me to sign up and make money off adds but I then decided against it not wanting to make money off my art while i am still just learning.... so I have gone 3 months now writing for the sake of writing and not money.... and maybe I should question myself again about that possibility.... hmmm

Either way I loved reading this and loved the cute and happy poem ^_^
