My Reasons for Joining the HubPages Community

Writing articles and essays is something I have enjoyed ever since I was in school. It allows me to express myself and explore my creativity. Most of the time, admittedly it is something I have not been able to dedicate a lot of time to.

Over the coming months this is something that I am looking to change. I have set myself goals to follow my dreams and my passion. As part of this I have made the decision to join HubPages in order to explore where this new adventure takes me. Although I have written articles and other content in the past, I am looking to improve my skills and see how I develop.

English was one of my favorite subjects at school as it allowed me to explore my creativity in both writing fictional content as well as non fictional content. Most of my study in the field of English was based on poetry as well plays by Shakespeare. It is this literary work which has been a huge inspiration and has led me to fall in love with the English language. I also discovered whilst studying my love for novels. My favorite novel is "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck.

My main motivation behind joining HubPages is to improve my written English and explore my creativity. English is my native language but that does not necessarily make me an expert. Through writing I want to enjoy being able to connect with other writers on this community as well as the rest of my readers in general. As part of this process, I would appreciate any feedback on my articles. This is something that will help me to connect with my readership.

Another motivation behind joining HubPages for me is the ability to eventually use my passion and hobby for writing into earning a passive income. The many techniques which are commonly used along the community from my research include things like advertising and affiliate marketing. These are areas in which I still have to explore the full potential. However, this is just an added bonus to my overall ambitions in using this great platform.

• Engage Widely with the HubPages Community in order to interact with other writers and get written feedback on the way my publishing is going. This will enable me to make any improvements and be aware of what is working well.
• Potentially use this as an opportunity to earn passive income through advertising revenue sharing and affiliate marketing.
• Explore other writer's content and see what works well with their written style
• Find interesting articles to read on the areas of my passions and hobbies.

From a personal point of view I feel that it is important to set goals to measure progress. In my opinion, only by seeing visible progress can an individual feel happy and contented on how far they have come on any adventure in life. By setting goals it makes it tangible to some extent to measure progress. By looking back at these goals in the future this will enable me to see how far I have come on this adventure. This hopefully will potentially also help others identify goals which they may look to pursue themselves.

Please feel free to provide any relevant feedback on how I can improve the structure of my articles. This includes both the actual written content style itself as well as laying things out. As I am new to HubPages this is something I am keen to learn about. I want to be able to use all the features available on HubPages to format and structure the best articles possible.
