My transition from HubPages to my own website
Yes, it’s true; I’m leaving HubPages. But don’t worry, I won’t stop reviewing shows or keeping track of the ratings. I will just be doing this somewhere else.
From now on, the latest TV Ratings, Renewal and Cancellation updates and Reviews on:
From now on, I will be teaming up with my two close friends, Emily Donovan and Daniel Redford, on our very own website, called TV Watch U.S.! With this hub I want to tell you all why I am moving on from HubPages and what you can expect from this new website. So without further ado, let me begin.
Why I'm moving on
HubPages has been the perfect place for me to start my adventure, but as the amount of Hubs I published grew, it was more and more difficult to post content the way I wanted to when using HubPages. I felt the need to be able to publish information in a way that was more structured, something intuitive and user friendly. I wanted my posts to be easy to find, and most of all; I wanted to share so much more about TV shows. I decided there was only one way to realize all of this: I would have to start my own website. My friends Emily and Daniel were eager to start this venture with me, and together we created and will be managing the website tvwatchus.com.
News
You can follow the latest news very easily by checking the homepage, and in the news archives of the site. You can even subscribe to receive a notification when there is news. You’ll never have to search manually again!
Reviews
On the website, you can find reviews on all your favorite shows, just like the ones I used to post on HubPages. On the website, all reviews will be neatly arranged so you’ll have no trouble finding the review of your favorite series. You will still be able to comment on the reviews just as you were on HubPages. Furthermore, we won’t just be posting a single review at the start of a new series. For example, after a long hiatus, we will post a recap of the things that have happened in the series, just to refresh your mind.
Shows
Finding that one show of which the name you just can’t remember is easier than ever. All you have to know is either the network or the genre! In our list of shows you can easily search for the show and see if it’s currently being aired. Furthermore, every show has its very own page, where you can find a prediction of its renewal or cancellation and whether it is actually renewed or cancelled, a review and synopsis, recent news, and even more!
Ratings, renewals and cancellations
Just like I have been doing on HubPages, Daniel, Emily and I will be keeping track of the ratings. Based on these ratings we will provide you with predictions on renewals and cancellations, and of course we will let you know as soon as official news about renewals and cancellations is out. However, it could be that you’d rather just see right away when your show is on TV. The pages listing all the shows on either network or genre can help you with this: all the shows are sorted according to their current status, be it upcoming, current or concluded.
I’m guessing you might have noticed by now that I am very excited about this website. It provides everything I have given you on HubPages, and more, in a well-arranged and intuitive manner. Furthermore, with the help of Emily and Daniel you can be sure the review you read is based on more than just my humble opinion. In fact, there is an ‘About’ page that shows you exactly what each of us prefers, and you can even contact us through our website or through social media if you have questions or feedback.
This is not a farewell. I will not be abandoning HubPages completely. You can still find me responding to your comments and posting the occasional hub about things that aren’t TV related. And I will be continuing what I have been doing on HubPages, only I will do it on another website. I do hope to keep in touch with everyone who has been reading my hubs. I have come to like you all, some of you I would even dare call dear friends, and I would love to see you all on the website. Please do come visit me there, meet my friends, and subscribe so you will never have to search for news about your favorite shows again!
Regards,
Robin
