Promoting your Hubs Par -2: Lets Talk About Marketing and Traffic

Updated on February 13, 2012

Adsense and Traffic.

This is the second part of the Article: Promoting your hubs: Let me teach you how to make money with your writing. Check out the first article, for the complete information.

Whenever you read the story of how a person is making thousands of dollars everyday writing for places such as Hubpages and Triond, writers can't help but get curious and wonder just exactly what they are doing to get that kind of money, and how they can get the same.

Well, the answer is simple, but in order to get the results there is a bit of work involved.

In one of my articles: Promoting your Hubs: Let me teach you how to make money with your writing, I go into a lot of detail of how writers such as me and possibly you can get started and make money from writing. There is some work to this, but it is not impossible.

One of the things that help out a lot after your work is published is getting traffic to your hubs or articles. Traffic is the key when working on earning money writing in places such as Hubpages, Triond and even your personal Blogs. But how do we get it??

Ok, first of all to get a fair amount of views daily writers need to know where to go and grab attention of hundreds of people at once. How can this be accomplished? It is actually not that hard if you write about specific subjects that other writers or avid readers would be interested in, or if you go to niche forums or social bookmarking sites where writers can talk to other people that have the same interest as they do.

This so far may sound pretty easy to many writers, but in reality only a handful of people get this type marketing strategy and even fewer manage to take advantage of this suggestion.

I write about everything. Mainly about Freelancing and money, so where do I go to promote my articles? Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, and Stumbleupon. Why? these are all social bookmarking sites where I can chat or grab the attention of writers or readers that enjoy reading about the things that I write about.

You see, this is why the freelance writing business can be tough at times and it can be pretty easy too. For many writers, promoting their work is actually a piece of cake because they've already been marketing their name and so they know that readers will basically continue to read their work regardless of where they work.

For many new freelance writers this is not the case. As a new writer, you have to get out there and compete for the attention that other great writers have earned and gotten from their loyal readers. This is the reason why there are so many writing forums, websites and even social bookmarking sites where writers go to promote their work.

In order to get traffic to your articles, your website(s), or Blog(s) you have to sign up to these places or at least check them out and start talking to other writers, leave links to your work and really promote your writing. Most of the time doing these tricks work wonders for writers, other times writers need a little bit more help..

Stay tuned for more information on how to get traffic and earn money writing for any website!
