SEO Tips in a Poetry Play (Dula-Tula)

Yes, this hub intends to give you some SEO Tips in a manner I know best – a short play.

Dula-Tula (Play-Poem) is a form of street theater in the Philippines developed during the martial law era meant to tackle sensitive issues in a comic manner. It basically uses three performers, the Narrator who is responsible for delivering all the lines in different character voices, the Main character, in this case, Super SEO and the Miscellaneous, the performer responsible for portraying the other different roles required in the scene. We started modifying the form early 80’s to include more Miscellaneous performers. The Main Character and Miscellaneous acted out in mime,  lip synch  the dialogue and interpret the sound effects done by the Narrator which adds novelty to the act. Quick changes are done in full view of the audience using suggestive costuming technique.

I’ve often used this form of theater for corporate presentations and different advocacies. I thought it fun to use this form in making a hub depicting the many facets of SEO. Normally a lot of verbs are used for this kind of work but I have adjusted it to serve the need of the medium. I hope you enjoy it.

I was created for you to know

How to come up from way below

The millions of pages before your own

And make your site widely known”

“Super SEO is on your side

Call me now, I’ll be your guide!”

“EEEEEEEK “

From nowhere came a desperate shriek

Super SEO stops to think

And readily quips “Sounds like a Newbie to me”

Then zooms out to seek

The Newbie in panic

(SFX: Mission Impossible Theme)

“EEEEEK WEEEEP”

Cries out the Newbie

“No one has ever come to visit meeee

I sound good, look good, am good at being meeee

How else must I beeeeee?!

Weeeeeeeep!”

In a snap finger

Super SEO holds the Newbie by the shoulder

Ready and willing to comfort her

“Hush now for I am here

To give you wisdom that comes with cheer”

The Newbie’s eyes widened with delight

Seeing Super SEO in neon tights

They looked into each other’s eyes

And were undoubtedly hypnotized

By what is called optimized

(SFX:..And aaaayiyaaai will always love youhohoooo)

Their hands met slowly up in the air

Search and discover was the theme of their stare

Engines began running about with flair

As they took the time to share and care

(SFX:  Zip a dee doo dah zip a dee ay...my oh my what a beautiful day.)

They spoke much about SEO tools

Sang to Keywords and Adwords like fools

Strolled along Social Networking Sites

Went about Blogging all night

They never stop going about to Digg

Even when they StumbleUpon all kinds of gigs

Taking all kinds of intoxicating Mixxx drinks

To get connected to Social Bookmarking links

(SFX: Aaaaw Do a little dance..make a little love, Get down tonight)

Together they flooded article directories with “How To’s”

Commented on forums with a line or two

Choosing those with Back links or Do follow “suit”

Using Affiliate Programs as money making turbo boosts

They engaged in efforts for visitors to often return

Made free video and audio files that could be downloaded and burned

They agreed on a date when they could finally earn

To find full investment finally returned

(SFX: Everybody dance now! bumbambambum 2x... the rhythm's gonna get you 3x tonight!)

Super SEO was on the Go, go, go

And spoke of those he has helped long ago

“Mark Knowles “, he said, “always Know-'mores'

As Misha drove by forums leaving smiles that gals die for

“Then there was Sunseven who may have found a new haven

While Jimmy the Jock made himself Hubpages' extended heaven”

The Newbie became an expert in no time

She said “Thank You Super SEO for never leaving my side”

To which Super SEO tenderly replied

“My newbie-now-expert, I have one thing in mind

Please marry me and become my beautiful bride”

The newbie-now-expert jumped around with joy

Saying "yes! yes! yes!" like a wind up toy

Super SEO grabbed her close and with the suavest of suave

Declared unto her "From now on you are my great Love!"

Goggle entered the scene applauding

As Yahoo followed while yodeling

Live Search went "live" cheering

While Ask came in answering

Behold Super SEO

With his lovely bride in tow

Cheering aloud so you may know

What they do to make things grow

(SFX: Rap Beat)

“Support, Encourage and Organize

Sustain, Empower and Optimize

And see your sites monetized!”

“I’m Super SEO”

“I’m Supah Go-girl-go”

"Let’s go, grow and glow!”

And away they flew

Toward the sky so blue
