The recent Google page rank update - Hubpages page rank Ups and down

Updated on February 13, 2013

Most of of the people are familiar with Google Panda update and how that effected many website. Mostly revenue sharing site were effected because these sites fully depends on the users content. Most of the users tries to earn money without doing much hard work, as a result they tries to submit partial duplicate content. Recently Google also updated the page rank as well. If you did not check the page rank of your blog yet then you should check it now.

My journey as an adsense publisher.

I joined Hubpages more than 2 years ago. At that time I had no idea about revenue sharing site. I wrote some article here only for fun. I was not good at writing article because English is not my first language. So I tried to write a Hub on computer tricks (obviously you don't need skills on writing for that). Then suddenly I stopped writing on Hubpages. After 2 years I was really surprised to see my article Funny computer tricks alone got more than 35,000 views. About 98% of the visitors are coming from Google. It gave me a lot of motivation. to write more articles.

Then I applied for Google adsense and got my account approved. As my articles related to computer tricks were successful , I started to write on a personal blogger blog which is based on computer tips and ticks as well. You can check my blog here.

That's how my journey as a Google adsense publisher started.

The recent change of page rank

I am having a deep interest on increasing the page rank of my blog and curious about the page rank of every site. So I check the page rank of every site frequently. A few days ago when I was checking the page rank of my blog, I was really happy to see the Blog's PR jumped from N/a to a PR 1 blog. Then I thought may be I worked hard, that is the reason Google rewarded me. But then I noticed that, Google actually updated the page rank globally.

Some of my fellow blogger was very happy to see, their PR 0 blog jumped to PR 3 (which is amazing). On the other other hand some of them were crying because their PR 3 blog dropped to PR 0. Important: The reason for dropping by such an extent was due to link exchanging for money.

Revenue sharing page rank changes: (June, 2011)

Hubpages: I got really surprised to see the best Revenue sharing site Hub-pages dropped to PR 5 from PR 6. In my opinion Hubpages is having the best community of writers. The overall quality of the hubpages is not bad at all.

Snipsly: Snipsly is a new revenue sharing site which had PR 2 a year ago when I checked it. But I was surprised to see Snipsly now got a page rank of 5.

Seekyt: Seekyt is a completely new revenue sharing site which is created by a user of Hubpages. The site got a promotion to page rank of 3.

Best-reviewer: Best-reviewer is a 100% adsense revenue sharing sharing site where you can earn money for posting Best-top (ex, best top movies , articles , tv shows , actor, actress etc whatever you like). The site got a promotion to PR 4 from PR 0.

Xomba: No change in Xomba. It is still at number 5.

Triond: Triond is a revenue sharing site which uses different of it's other websites for posting articles according to it's category. No changes on Triond PR itself because it's get direct traffic only for log in. But the websites where they posts the article was heavily punished due to poor copied contents. For example: Scienceray.com where most of the articles are science related dropped to PR 4 from PR 6.

Squidoo: Squidoo is still at number 7.

I wrote this article mainly to inform all the user about the recent changes. All the Hubpages user should understand about the Google requirements and try to post good contents to get more views and to increase the page rank.

Update) Good news: Hubpages Page rank again got back to 6. Today 25/july/2011 I have check the page rank and happy to see Hubpages got it's page ranking back :)

Thank you for reading my Hub :)
