Updated on October 25, 2008

I usually check for high Adsense paying keywords on

They have a huge list (2,600 keywords), listed in alphabetical order.

Here's the link:

(it's not my site)

Personally, I don't make websites about any of these high paying keywords. It is very difficult to rank well in search engines, since your competition is huge. Many sites in those niches exist for years and have thousands of backlinks already.

I rather spend my time working with smaller, less popular niches where I can expect decent rankings much sooner.

But it's always tempting!

You know, I have been scouring the web high and low for this. I've heard of SEO, but after reading all those pages on the web, I've ended up without much understanding. I never knew how to find what keywords to use. I hope I might be able to use a few keywords, but they seem like really boring topics. Meh.

At last someone seeing the light, I have recently looked at high paying keywords and have also came up with the same conclusion as yourself - so have wrote a HubPage giving my thoughts on why using the high paying keywords is not such a profitable thing to do - build websites based on content, not on keywords -

I prefer the smaller niches myself but good hub and valuable information for people.
