About how long after a featured Hub is published does it take for Google traffic

    About how long after a featured Hub is published does it take for Google traffic to kick in? .

    So far the vast majority of my views are from Hubpages itself.  I have only been on the site for 2 weeks and I thought I read in a forum somewhere there there is usually a spike in Hubpages views, followed by a lull, then followed by increased views from Google.

    Well you should notice a spike of course when you post your hub since it will come up on the feed. Beyond that it depends on how well it becomes ranked on google as to how much you will see in traffic from them. I am not seeing a whole lot of traffic but I am also ranked number 1 if you type in my BBQ chicken and ranch rice recipe title. Of course shortening it does put me down lower on the list but none the less it is a start and encouraging to know that my stuff is ranked fairly well on google.

    I have limited experience on Hubpages so take what you will from my comments. My first hub, and my highest earning hub had very little traffic for the first two months, 10 a day would be high. In January, though, traffic started to grow and now it averages over 100 per day and will earn approximately $8 this month. Of course it ranks #1 in Google for multiple keywords now.

    However, that is an exception. All of my other hubs are lucky to get 5 a day and earn basically nothing. The point is, even with a successful hub, traffic may take some time, at least in my limited experience.
