In my experience, unfortunately, there is no clear-cut answer to your question.
With no disrespect intended, it's kind of like asking, "When will people do web searches for the topic I wrote about?" If anyone knew the answer to that, my advice would be for them to ditch Hubpages and go into business as a consultant for Google!
As ever, the best advice that can be given is to write about subjects that lots of people find interesting, if you want a lot of views. Another strategy is to write about something with more of a niche appeal, but write well enough and provide enough information about such narrow subjects that your Hub is regarded as an important source of valid information.
In other words, if you write a Hub full of practical advice on throwing a bridal shower, you'll probably get a fair amount of hits from search engines because it's a topic that is frequently researched online. On the other hand, if you write about the benefits of adding chia seeds to your diet, you'll get way less traffic initially than the bridal shower article--but if your chia seeds Hub is really good, the small community of people who are interested in this subject are likely to find you over time and may even share your article amongst each other.
Nearly everyone who's been successful at HP says that you're better off to write about things you know AND care about, and I can't help but agree. Hubpages is almost certainly not going to make you wealthy. But if you publish enough high-quality hubs that convey knowledge and enthusiasm, who knows? I know what kind of writing I'D rather read!
Good luck, Chris!
