(a) visit and read the Learning Center- it has most of the basics and some advanced stuff you need.
(b) read the TOS(terms of service) for both HubPages and Google Adsense.(you always read TOS)
(c) read the forum rules
(d) read the HubPages FAQ's page
(e) before you attempt to write your first hub, do a search about writing hubs and read other people's hubs on writing hubs.
Other than that, enjoy yourself.
Please realize you are a on a writer's site. This is not a social networking site.
