It's my first one, so odds are I did or didn't do something that caused this. I signed up for Amazon and Google accounts and activated them. Is it automatic from that point, or did I miss any steps?
Amazon - you have to add modules during the design process.
Adsense - they should appear once your hub comes out of pending status.
You can always add an Amazon module later - I wouldn't do it until it comes out of pending status though otherwise it will take longer to get out of that status!
I personally find that earnings from Ebay is better than Amazon as you get paid when there is a click, unlike Amazon where you earn only there is successful sales.
I tried to sign up for Adsense and it says I was denied yet there are adsense ads on my hubs. Will I get paid for the ads on my hub?
Thanks for your help.
If you DO NOT have an Adsense account, you DO NOT earn from any ads by HP or Adsense, or HP earnings programs. The only way you earn is from Amazon, eBay sales if you have accounts with them.

We started testing Amazon's Ad Marketplace yesterday on TatRing and Holidappy. This allows Amazon to sit outside of our header bidding wrapper, use their first party data to buy ads from us, but still compete with...

In the HubPages earning program, two of these ads are displayed on articles. So why are they included at all? Do they have the advantage of generating earnings form clicks and the HubPages ads don't (or do they?)
