Sorry if this is a silly question, but I'm completly new to hubpages and trying to learn my way around. There is a number on the bottom right of my profile picture that is different everyday, just wondering what it represents? and what does it mean if it's going up?
It really isn't that important. All it does is reflect your activity on hub pages. My score went up today, and I had done nothing. On days I do a lot, it goes down. Well that is the way it has become at HP. It does not contribute to earnings. Participating in the forum and asking questions does not earn a penny for you either.
The profile score, if below 70 I believe somebody said it affects where your hubs are indexed to be seen on search engines or not. I may be wrong.
I can't remember what it is called, but from what I understand it is like a rating, out of 100. The more hubs you post, the more views they get, the better the feedback, and the more comprehensive they are, the more your rating will go up. I also think each hub gets its own rating, and your overall rating is an average of those. Just what I have gathered as I am pretty new here myself.

Why do some users use celebrity pictures as their profile picture?

I know a lot of people will say that this isn't necessary but wouldn't it help reduce spammers. Admit it, most of the people on HP who spam are without a bio and avatar. I know there are some sock pockets that go through the extra trouble to create real-looking accounts but I am sure that after a...
