Think we have been down this road but I sort of forget..when a video is watched on our Hubs You Tube or otherwise, are you still getting time for the view? Or is it done when the page is clicked away? Hope I am explaining correctly thanks guys.
As long as the video is being viewed on the page and the person is not clicking over to Youtube or another streaming site it counts. My recent research on a few client sites and my own sites have shown pages with longer dwell times rising in the SERP's. I confirmed this on a few internal FB forums with some really popular SEO guys.
This is why I always try and include a relevant video in all my hubs and maybe even a poll, to buy some time.
