how do I let let facebook know about my hub, after its published
At the bottom of the hub is a "share it" button. Click on it and then click on the "facebook" button. You'll probably have to log on to facebook and click "share" again in the facebook window.
Besides Sharethis there are other addons to browsers including addthis and shareaholic. Also, if you have ever used stumbleupon, they also have an add on for your browser.
Most of these are for firefox, but you should be able to find them for other browsers too.
