how can we compare basic and applied research with deductive and inductive methods? need answer...
A textile mill has reduced its production recent year .Textile crises are becoming severe in the country due to all over recession and slow down of economies around the globe. Increasing trend in the cost of inputs has become common practice in our country due to which industries cannot compete in the markets. This method of research is inductive.
For instance "A" bank merged with "B" bank. Before merging , "B" bank obviously made research over downsizing and hiring new staff for more and better work as what kind of employees are required to hire and lay off and why a set of employees are required to free from bank staff. This is deductive method of research.
there are two examples, one for each purpose (basic and applied research) .Both applied and basic research can be inductive or deductive.Wrong conception is that only basic research can be deductive and only applied research can be inductive. That is why i did not give examples of this kinds.
