Has Google downgraded Hubpages? If so what can we do about it?
I just read in an answer to a Hub-question that Google had recently downgraded Hubpages. Is this true? If so, why and what can we do to reverse this?
Like anything in life, adapt to the changes. If you do this will simply be a bump in the road.
Good Day ThunderKeys!
I don't want to sound New Agey, here (I detest most "New Age" so-called thought), but I believe that ONLY we, the hubbers of HubPages, can actually "downgrade" this site. The worst thing we could do, in my opinion, would be to overreact (or react at all) to the fact that Google has given us a lower ranking -- FOR NOW! These things are transitory.
I could wonder why overall my hubber score keeps going up and down and why it is that I have never reached the high nineties, much less that grand 100. That wouldn't do any good.
At the end of the day I believe that all we can do is to "keep on keeping on," continue to write first-class, interesting, content-rich, original hubs, read each other's work and give positive, respectful feedback, and continue to treat each other with respect as we interact here on the Q & A forum as well as in the forums proper.
Anything else, any attempts to be clever somehow would most assuredly do more harm than good. I adore HubPages and believe in it. We'll get our pride of place ranking back, don't worry.
Take it easy.
I think Google is cracking down on the how-to-guides all over the web as part of the big crackdown. I have nothing against how-to-guides as many of them are very useful but I've noticed there are a lot of them on Hubpages. Just stick to your areas of interest and ensure you publish quality not quantity.

Hello Hubbers! I'm fairly new to HubPages, I've been here about a week now and love the community so far! Anyway, I was thinking, since we all have the same goal; to make money, get readers and help people, I thought I would make a topic for us all to discuss the best places to post our HubPages...

How can Hubpages adjust the CPM on HubPages Ads so significantly after a few days?I lost nearly $20 due to the fact that the CPM was downgraded a few days after it had been posted. Not very happy.

I know there's been a lot of discussion on the forums about the Editor's Choice hubs. First, I want to say that I really appreciate all the hard work and creativity that the HP staff put into our community, but I guess I just don't understand the idea behind the Editor's Choice hubs. I...

My goodness, I have read oh so many forums trying to figure out why my once flourishing hubs suddenly took a devastating nosedive. I have learned a lot from others comments & shared experience. I have also recognized that there seems to potentially be a number of possible reasons why many hubs...
