Do you use the news on your hubs ?If so does it help with getting more viewers
Or are you better off not using it ?
I do not know. I am also concerned about this. If you know the answers, please let me know
I used to add news in my hubs to keep it current.. but I had recently removed the news capsules in my hubs as I don't think they are helping my hubs. In the forums (sorry I tried to look for it, but couldn't find it) it was mentioned that the Google bots might mistakenly take the news as duplicate and give your hub a very low ranking page... but I could be wrong. To be on the safe side, I removed the news capsules in my hubs. Most of my hubs didn't have news in the first place and my best viewed hubs didn't have news. But then again, I've only been here four months. I hope this helps a little.
I do not use news on my Hub but I'm planning to use it on some of my Hub because I think news can increase my HubKarma as it said on HubPages FAQ.
"HubKarma has some influence on your Hubber Score and is on a 0-100 scale."
I don't think that it'll help to get more viewers. If you write something that's timely or topical and forget that you have a news feed, months later it may become useless or give bad results. It depends on what you're writing about.
