How does a Hub become a "Featured Article"?
How does a Hub become a "Featured Article" that pops us when a user is browsing by topic? Anyone have any useful tips for getting articles to be featured?
No idea. I guess it's done using keywords, or maybe the HubPages staff decide? They made a podcast about one of mine recently and put it on the HubPages blog, which was flattering. I think they are trying to promote more factual and informative hubs at the moment after the google algo changes.
It is something that is decided by Moderators and/or HubPages staff, I'm certain.
It could come as a Featured Article or a Featured Hubber.
If the hub contains quality writing and excellent background the Hubpages Team will select among the writings of the day, They will the one who choice what is the featured Article of the Day....
Today I got my hubs featured. As far as I can see you need a good sound informative and original hub to get featured. And getting featured will not happen overnight. You will need to publish your hub to a good standard and promote the hub using hubpages guidelines.
Look over your hubs to make sure that it is free of error and does not in any way break rules set out by Hub Pages. In time as traffic rises to your hub and Hub Pages verify originality among other things then your hub will become featured. Also take part in forums, ask questions, answer questions and use hub pages where-ever you can. All this activity also helps you get featured.
These are just some tips from me. I hope they help.
Is a quandary? - today I notice that all my hubs are suddenly featured hubs - none were a day or two ago. Is this a new policy?

I thought if a hubpage was listed in Google search it was featured. But apparently that is not the truth. I guess I will keep the hubs up and run my own check on them.

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!

Re: My Hub https://hubpages.com/literature/The-Hou … -It-for-MeThis hub has been featured for a rather long time. It recently has been marked as Not Featured with a comment that it may have spammy elements. I do not put spammy elements on my Hubs. The notice makes reference to ads. I...

Lately, I have had 11 hubs unfeatured due to Quality Issues. I have assured my hubs do not contain grammatical or spelling errors. I have included relevant video and changed the titles and added new supporting texts and all this to no avail. The HubPages Staff continues to deem my hubs do not...
