Copyright and writing about paintings / art?

How can I find, borrow, and use art images without breaking any laws?
I've been using my own photographs in my hubs up until now, but I would like to write a couple of hubs about art, and I don't know how to legally borrow an image from anywhere!

Generally you have to get permission to use an image to which you do not own the copyright.  If you have not read the information in the Learning Center you may like to check out these words of wisdom from HP staff:

Wikipedia is a good place to get famous artwork. That is where I got most of mine for the series of Impressionist art hubs I wrote.
