In the upper right hand corner of a hub, what goes best there. The large Google ad or a picture?
I am told that before the HP ad program advice most always was to put photos after the Google ad, which should go in the upper right hand corner.
Is that still the case now that we have a second large ad just to the right of that position? This being a new account I don't have much data from my own tests on this. But it seems if your hub needs illustrations they should go in the upper RH section previously used for the Google Ad -
I would appreciate any advice that is available on this question.
I feel that a well chosen photo with a filled out caption is better. Not only because it will bring you more traffic, but also because it's more appealing to readers.
I'd go with a picture. Spam sites typically have the 250x250 link ad embedded into a post either there or on the left so I think it really turns off viewers when they land on your page
Are you writing for income or pleasure? That spot is the prime real estate for ads - it is where the ad will be seen the most and likely where the ad with the most clicks will be located.
If you don't care about income then that spot is probably preferable for a photo - again it is a top visibility spot and could add a lot to a hub if a pertinent photo was placed there.

I always thought the upper-right corner of your Hub (or any online article), right next to your first text capsule, was the prime spot for ad placement. This is where they show up automatically. However, I've seen a couple of examples lately where people seemed to intentionally bypass...
