How does HubPages check to make sure hubs don't violate terms of service?
How does the violation checker work?
There are two main methods:
1. An automated system scans content for specific words (such as swear words or words relating to "bad" topics) as well as links to specific bad sites. If the system registers one or more of these links or words, it will either put a notice on the hub or unpublish the hub, depending on the severity.
2. By users flagging content. Once a hub is flagged, it is added to the queue to be manually checked by a moderator. If the moderator believes the hub is breaking the rules it will be unpublished.
