How do you hand trolls reporting you for THEIR harassment?

I have someone who has repeatedly trolled me and harassed me on this site since I joined a few weeks ago. Now I find out today that I have been banned from posting in forums because of this person and their complaints that I harassed them. This person has threatened my personal life several times! How do you handle this or how would you suggest I handle it?

you should complain straight away to the admin of hubpages those trolls have no rights to treat you like that and you should show proof on how they been harassing you.all you could do it try to ignore them or change your name.explain to the admin you are being harassed not the other way round.hope things gets better for you x

E-mail the admin immediately. Find as many instances of the harassment as you can and include it in your complaint. Hubpages has very strong rules against harassment and you should not be punished for something you didn't do.

If this happens again, even if it's only once e-mail the admin right away with a copy of the message so that something can be done immediately instead of taking weeks to be resolved.

If you got into an arguememt with someone who was harassing you in the forums, and decide to attack them back or call them names, it's possible for you to have gotten a temporary ban from forum posting because personal attacks and such are against forum rules.

You need to report someone harassing you to admin and have the moderators handle it.  If you decide to escalate things yourself in the forum by "fighting back" or making a public issue of the attacks, that is viewed as you making a personal attack on that person, and it's considered inappropriate.

All of this is clearly explained in the forum rules.

i had something similar happen recently too - report it to HP and reference the discussion  if you know where it was from.

if there was physical threat you can also report it to your state attorney general and local police and let the eprson know you have done so

as others have said, you do have to be careful how you respond online but it's likely to be obvious where the problem is - HP doesnt really investigate very deeply, it seems - they just look at the place flagged, out of context.  i've had several hubs maliciously flagged like this.  you have to contact HP to have them do a fuller review
