Is there a way to stop alerts of your activity from appearing in your follower's activity feed?
When you follow a person or topic, ask question, post a hub, etc. It posts in the activity feed. Is there a way to stop the notifications so it is not spamming your followers when you follow or post several things in a row?
The only things that will slow or stop the notifications are either going to be self-control/restraint on your part, or the followers choosing to restrict what they see on their end by editing their filters.

Anyone know how to stop the notifications from an article that I commented on years ago? I no longer see the unfollow button that allowed one to opt out of further notifications.

I was ok with the notification emails that grouped several things, but please stop sending me emails on everything. I'm getting comment emails, forum emails, fan mail emails, etc. Please stop.
