Why left and right sides of every hub is not utilized for advertizing or any other purpose?
on my 15 inch screen only 8 inch in the center is used for main hub and advertisement and 3.5 inch space on both sides remain empty.
My guess is that this size accomodates viewing hubs on mobile devices, smartphones.
If that happened, it would be very untidy and disturbing to the eyes. That's how it is on some other sites. Too much clutter and it turns the reader's attention away from the article. When I see articles with so much clutter I view them as unimportant and leave.
