How does one attract readers from Bing?
In response to comments I saw people make in other forums, I checked some of my hubs to see where readers were coming from. Out of 5 hubs only one had a few readers from Bing. How can I remedy that . . . or is it important?
Most of your "SEO" is going to affect all engines, to some extent.
A huge majority of searches come from Google, which is obvious.
You can focus on making a minor increase in Google rankings, and see your hits jump by huge numbers...or you can focus on Bing (If you can find the info) and watch that 5 climb to a 6 or 7.
There is a reason that "Bing SEO" information is almost nonexistent. When something exists on the internet in vast amounts (Such as Google SEO info), that means two things:
1. It matters.
2. It probably works.
Enjoy your Bing hits. Then forget they existed.
Just focus your efforts on building for Google. If you can get good at creating the kinds of content that Google appreciates you will have a much better overall results. The mass of traffic is just not going through Bing as a search tool, if you have a lot of success with Google you will also be naturally improving your content and having a better chance at appearing on Bing in search results there.
Thanks guys. It's a kind of relief, actually. Learning how to attract Google is plenty enough work as it is.
