Has anyone seen his earnings drop in October/November?

My earnings dropped 20% in October and November. Now I hear tags have been machine generated since months now and are not longer established by the hub´s author! I am starting to believe my lower income has to do with this. Please share your experience.

While I experienced a slight drop in October, November was fine, and my December earnings have jumped considerably. This month I'm earning over $1 / day, which I've never done before. From my perspective, the machine generated tags don't seem to be hurting me at all. But now you have me wondering if they're the cause of my drastic increase. I'm going to have to go digging through stats and whatnot.

It would be great if the change was for the better!!!!! Thanks for sharing Julie, I feel more relaxed now that maybe it has nothing to do with the tags issue and my earning will simply rise again later on.

My number of hits on my hubs has dropped about that much during that same period too. It seems it started at the time Hurricane Sandy hit the NE, though I'm not saying I know they are related smile. I do not know what to really attribute it to. So, the change in tags is an interesting possibility to consider. My highest traffic-ed hub dropped by 60%.

I didn´t think of the hurricane, which could also be the reason. One can only speculate.... my guess was the tags because I´m not really sure a program can determine keywords accurately. Let´s trust in HP and hope for the better. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, will trust HP with you. It could be that some time is needed for the Google process to adjust to the new tags, I'm thinking.

Nope; my traffic has doubled, probably because of my seasonal content.  Consider sharing your seasonal articles on social media sites like Facebook and Pinterest to increase views.

That's a relief and at the same time I'm left clueless as to why my traffic has dropped. I don't have seasonal content so the time of year shouldn't really have an impact other than people staying more at home because of the cold weather. Thanks!!

How much though? Earning money is not something that grabs my attention anymore, the question always is: how much? Is it worth it? I do earn in HP, but as the majority of hubbers my earnings are quite low.

October was a pretty good month for me, earnings-wise. However there was definitely a big drop in November for me. My views in November dipped a bit as well, but not too badly.
I'm just hoping that my earnings will pick up this month.

From all your answers, it seems there is no clear trend. Earnings can drop and go up again, they naturally fluctuate. I am hopping this month my earnings go up as well! Best of luck and success. Thanks for commenting.
