Why does the "notifications" tab not show activity on my account until after I have already seen it?
The notifications tab at the top of the page is supposed to let us know when we have any activity, eg comments on hubs, new followers etc. A number should appear next to it to let us know we have things to look at or reply to. On mine, however, the number only appears after I have approved a comment that I have already seen - rendering it rather useless, in my opinion. This must be due to some setting that I have changed, as it used to work properly, but I can't work out what it is - any ideas?

I have not received any email notifications from HubPages since yesterday, March 9th, just before noon. Has anyone else had this problem? I will retype my email address and check my junk folder.
