How are hub scores calculated for individual hubs before they are published?
It's calculated by the number of words in the Hub along with number of pictures and whether or not there's a video. More than 1200 words, 3 pictures and a video would be the highest score. More than 1200 words, and two pictures would be about a 55. More than 1200 words and one picture is a 50. Less than a couple hundred words and a picture is about 45.
Hope that helps!

Mine fluctuate, regardless of the amount of views, votes (up/down), and feedback. (I'm talking about hubs that have been published for a period of time)? I've searched & searched, and can not find an explanation....

I think you need a badge that is awarded for individuals Hub achievements, such as: if one Hub receives over 5,000 views, that's quite an achievement - there should be a badge for that.

Hi, can someone tell me what these scores are on your work, and how they arrive at them?

My hubscore has dropped to the lowest in over two years! At the same time I have published a new hub and had comments for it!

On some of my hubs (but not all) when I click the stats button, a message pops up: "Something went wrong. Please try again. And when you get a chance, you may want to report this issue in the Hubpages forums."
