As soon as I published my article, I noticed a typo in the summary.  I reopened the article, hit "unpublish" and "edit. Made the change, and republished, but the typo seems to still be there. What else should I do?

I agree with Glenn.  However, sometimes an edit doesn't happen immediately.  If you finish editing and then refresh your page, you should see the edit change.

TT2, Edits do happen immediately. As a matter of fact, anything you change on a published hub is seen by other people while you are working on it. For that reason I explained, in one of my tutorials, how to avoid confusing people by making any particular capsule invisible while you are working on it.

Claudette was asking about the summary, but it’s also an immediate update.

What you are confused about is that some browsers keep a saved cache of the old hub and therefore they don’t show the change until you refresh.

Thanks for the advice on editing. It helped. I'm new and still learning. I'll get there. Thanks again.

First of all, you don’t need to unpublish. You just need to click “edit” and make the change to the summary. Then click “Done Editing” when you’re done with all the changes you want to make.

It should have worked your way too, so I’m not sure what went wrong. Just eyeball the change you made before leaving edit mode to be sure it took it.

Glenn, that's right. The browser needs to be refreshed. Claudette might not be able to see the change on her computer, but others can.

Claudette, after you refresh your browser or view it on another computer, you too will see the change. It has happened to me also.

This hub was just published, but in the future: never unpublish a hub to make any changes because it will lose all its history on Google. Like the others pointed out, just hit edit when you want to change something.

Thanks, when I made the change it didn't show up right away, so I thought that was because it was published. Now I know better.
      Thanks much
