Hi! I'm wondering if the Q&A is going through the mods before getting published? I'm noticing that questions I ask myself along with questions readers ask me are not getting published along with the answer for days after I've answered them. Just curious!
Yes, questions are looked at by moderators for grammar issues, accuracy, spam, and relatedness to the article. Questions that are spam, extremely poorly worded, changed by the author into a totally different question than the one that was asked, or completely off topic are moderated.
I think there is some moderation. One of my avid readers asked "Why are you a moron?" I attempted to answer that my sad mental condition probably had something to do with eating too much kale and I promised to switch to broccoli in hopes of an improvement in my condition. A moderator deleted the entire exchange.
Aw... not fair!
Actually, I had a stupid one the other day, "Does he love me?" I said "No", because I was in a bad mood and not thinking for one second it would be approved, but it was. Noticed it and hid it, hopefully before the questioner had chance to read it.
Omg.. Yep..I get some funny ones too! Another thread said to pause, but that stops all questions from coming in. I just "hide q&a" problem solved and it dissapears (sp) after a couple days. After a couple of months of this, sure seeing the upside of it now.
Thank you, Christy for your reply!
I do get some interesting questions but they're not really off-topic, just badly worded and sometimes lacking a real question. I think the feature is helpful though and I wouldn't want to see it go away. It was a good idea. It helps add information to the article and it helps traffic when done right.
I've been adding my own questions that I feel enhance the article but wouldn't necessarily fit into it as an extra paragraph either. I'm also trying to add questions that are similar at heart to the ones some readers ask but that are worded in a way that makes more sense.

When did HubPages questions start going for moderation before getting published?Usually when I used to post a question it used to get posted immediately, but this time it was immediately closed for answers and when I checked, it says it gone for moderation :\

I wrote and published a Hub recently, but it tells me that it contains "spammy elements" and I need to revise it. I know for sure it doesn't since I went through the trouble and effort to make it the least "spammy" as possible. I reviewed a product and wrote about the pros of it...
