HP says I've been here 4 years. Time flies. At the moment I'm on another sheep inspection trip half way up my country. Sitting in my van at a small camping site working on a very old and slow laptop. Through Wifi and thanks to Teamviewer I'm actually working on my home computer. On the way over here I stopped at a trout fishing pond and caught 9 trouts and missed at least 10. LOL The first breeder I have to visit tomorrow is the lucky one, she'll get my trouts because I can't keep them fresh for three days despite a very good cooler.

Busy time the sheep inspection period. I'm travelling all over my country every weekend.

      Congrats, Titia.

You have a magical life, but a tough one. Hope you get to eat some of those trout yourself smile

Congratulations! You should definitely write about some of those interesting experiences when you have time.

Congrats on your anniversary Titia. I had to respond to your post... especially when you mentioned inspecting sheeeeeeep... Being a Kiwi I'm pretty familiar with those critters!  There was a time when it was a complete waste of time inspecting sheep in New Zealand... there were just too many (millions & millions) of them everywhere. It was a sheep inspector here who started the neighborhood watch program in NZ after years of being surrounded by them... such an obvious thing to do I guess given his occupation and huge work rate!
We are currently developing a substitute pet food product from sheep wool. (seriously) It is being trialed successfully on cats initially and other pets next year. I do wonder though if a long term side effect will be a greater variety of pets suffering from fur balls. I will never again feed the birds!
You take care and good luck with both your Hubs experience and your breeding program.

That's awesome and you seem to be having a great time. Just wish you could try out some of those trout. Why not have a bonfire and some roasted trout while you inspect those sheep smile

    Thanks all.

theraggededge: I have a freezer full of trouts and we smoke them too.

Christy, thanks and when I can find the time I'll write about my trips.

Pearldiver: you'll find my sheep breed on my profile page. I know the numbers of sheep you have in Australia LOL. Ours is very rare and old.

janshares: thanks, I'm taking care of all those things you mentioned. When I get tired on the road, I just park my van between the big trucker vans, lock my doors and go to bed. smile

lobobrandon: I'm eating more fish than I can chew. We do roast the fish on the BBQ, not while inspecting sheep but at home on a sunny day. They're delicious.
