Check this image out, I was just checking to see if my new hub is indexed on the dengarden domain after it was recently moved and I noticed that it says by Brandon Lobo and the meta description is an extract of my author bio, not the summary (the actual meta description) or an extract from the article itself.

I cannot replicate this as my other article titles are long and take up all the title real estate on Google. But I have never seen this happen on any article on the internet so far. It is either an anomaly or also a new feature after the latest update and Google moving towards EAT etc. Could Google be seeing me as somewhat of an authority on tomatoes?

Could some of you who write mostly in one niche try replicating this by entering the URL of one of your articles in search. An article with a short title, though.

I just checked a few and could not find this. (I did not check all of my articles though.)

      Okay, thanks smile

I will have to check back in a few days to see if this still shows up the way it does. I personally hope it doesn't stay this way.

I would have liked it to be that way. I think we had a lot more individual authority back when we had subdomains. I know the editors feel pressure to keep adding to the niche sites to keep them fresth in the eyes of Google and I do not think all of the new articles hold up to the standards that they should.
Not my site though! I just need to learn to shut up and accept it.
Concerning the traffic drop issue from Google, I have noticed it too. As you mentioned i the other thread, I do not think it is because of images. My traffic goes down a few thousand on Thursdays and Fridays so I was not too worried but it always bounces back to normal on Saturdays. Not this time.

It's another broad Google update. I haven't been keeping track of the quality of the articles on the niche sites. It definitely is a lot better to have few good articles than accepting just about anything.
