I promoted an article on a Facebook writer's page. It reached 277 people per day and 375 people in two days. I waited to see what the CPM was and how many Impressions I had. I had 98 impressions, which was impressive, almost like a champion, UNTIL I RECEIVED MY CPM, AND IT WAS ONE OF THE SHITTEST CPM'S IN HISTORY!! $2.04 per THOUSAND CLICKS!! I WAS EXPECTING CLOSE TO $8.00 or $10.00, NOT THAT SHITTY $2.00!! I WENT FROM A CHAMPION TO A FALURE JUST LIKE THAT!!! STILL, I MADE A SHITTY $0.20 CENTS!!! I WAS EXPECTING MORE FROM HUBPAGES, BUT THEY DIDN'T EXPECT ANYTHING FROM ME!!!! I'M JUST A FRAUD, NOTHING ELSE!!!

I'm sorry. It was a letterpile article that I promoted. I expected more. I expected $0.80-$3.28 in a day, not a shitty average of $0.20 WITH 98 IMPRESSIONS!!!!

I have for years seen people estimating $2-$5 per thousand as a reasonable CPM.  I have never seen a single post that suggested $10 was reasonable or that anyone is receiving that on a steady basis.

I'ts usually preferable to live in reality rather than fantasy, especially when paying the bills.

If you want to make more money here, my advice to you would be for you to write more high quality articles.

Also, it is against HP rules to post actual CPM rates so if it's possible to still delete it I would suggest doing so.

I thought so too. When Wilderness didn't say anything, I wondered if I was wrong about that.

Discussing monthly earnings from HP is fine but not exact CPMs. Also nothing regarding Adsense incomes can be made public according to the Adsense TOS.

Christy, Could you delete this forum post before I get banned from hubpages for good?
