If I start a new separate account with a new name, can I still direct my payments to the same email account for PayPal ? I'm thinking I have to have a new email. Just checking. ALSO do I need a new adsense account?
Yes you can ! You will need a new email address for your new HP account and when the new account is up and running and you are linking it to Paypal put in the original email address you used on you old HP account. I have done this myself so I know it works?
Probably something different than the 80 other subjects I have written about.
Rochelle, You already have the answer to your question above from the others, but here is something else you should know.
Your new account will have to reach the $50 a month threshold in order to receive payouts. Payments are not combined together even though you are using the same PayPal email address.
Besides that, there is no longer a need to have individual accounts just to separate subject matter. That was useful in the past, but now that we have over 20 niche sites, your articles will be combined with others in the same category anyway, as long as you write stellar quality articles that will get moved.
Hey Glenn... I’ve been trying to get an answer to an earnings question through the forums and email but haven’t gotten any responses, but you might be the guy that would know.
Do you know how I can add a network site to my Adsense account? I added two last year no problem. But something has changed. Now Adsense says “ url can’t be added as domain”
I don’t mean to add another topic to Rochelle’s thread but I would think this info would pertain to anyone possibly writing content for a new network site.
The error indicates that you are adding the Hub URL instead of the domain name. Instead of adding: https://delishably.com/dining-out/best- … ood-chains you need to add https://delishably.com/
Thanks for your reply Brandon. Unfortunately, I am only adding the domain (not url to hub) and get that error. It does not work with or without https://. For example, when I enter toughnickel.com I get the error “can’t add url as domain. It’s really perplexing.
I know. I've never had a problem adding any of my websites or, like I said, a couple hubpages network sites last year.
It's really frustrating since I'm losing out on some earnings. Here's a screenshot of the error I see.
That is indeed weird. You’re doing it right. Try sending a message to Google and include that screenshot. You can do that via the feedback option at the bottom of the menu options. You may or may not get a response, but it’s worth a try.
Thanks. I'm going to do that now. I'll fill you in in case I ever get this resolved. Thanks to you and Brandon for your input.
So, I got a hub on toughnickel and I noticed that it's not added to my list of sites, but have the same issue as you. For the sake of trying, I tried adding oughnickel.com and that works, I just have to place some necessary code.
What I think happened is that someone added toughnickel and all the other niche sites and it went under review and was banned from being added as individual sites OR there is a limited number of people that can own any one site. So say if Glenn has toughnickel and he removes it from his list and I immediately add it, I may be able to do so. Just a hunch though.
Hubpages and the niche sites are technically supposed to be added as 3rd party authorised sites. I have hubpages set up that way and also in the My sites section. To see this go to: Account > Access and Authorisation > Third Party Access.
HP is set up to be a third party revenue sharing site with Google Adsense, I think they need to do it with all their niche sites because third party access is not something we can add but you will have HP automatically in there if you have your adsense pub ID associated and you do have this.
Brandon, I doubt that there is any limit to how many people can authorize (own) a site. If that were the case, we'd be in a lot of trouble since there are so many Hubbers. Maybe I misunderstood what you are saying here.
Try adding a niche site that you do not already have and see if you can. Either Adsense has manually blocked the niche sites or there is a limit.
We could easily (as most people here) just allow all sites to show our ads and that would be a way around, albeit not a safe way.
As I understand it, you can only add sites where Google can see you have your AdSense code installed. Now that I say that, I wonder if the problem is that our code only is in the HTML 60% of the time. So if Google checks when it's not there, it may be rejected for that reason (Just a thought).
However, you showed an example earlier where you tried adding a non-existent niche site by dropping the first letter. That might be accepted because Google is tolerant to the understanding that one might add authorization before creating a specific new site.
Per your last paragraph — yes, most people have left it unprotected to allow all sites, and they don't have these issues for that reason. But as you said, it's not safe! Any malicious person can place your code in a "bad" website and get one's AdSense account suspended.
I wish more Hubbers would understand that because since few Hubbers protect their AdSense accounts, HubPages doesn't put much weight on the problem with authorizing niche sites in order to earn revenue from them.
I have several of my own personal domains and when I add the site to adsense it takes a few weeks to get verified. So, regarding Brandon's experiment, I can see how he can add it to the list, but it would not be able to ever get verified.
Anyway...I went through all my niche hubs again. Before trying to add their domain to adsense, I first looked to see if my pub ID was currently displaying in the source code for each hub. I had hubs without my pub ID and I couldn't add their domain. BUT, I also had hubs that included my pub ID and couldn't add their domain.
Of the ten niche domains I just tried to add to adsense sites, I was able to add:
patientslounge.com
youmemindbody.com
I could not add the following whether or not my pub ID was showing in the source code just before attempting to add them to adsense:
pethelpful.com
dengarden.com
delishably.com
owlcation.com
feltmagnet.com
caloriebee.com
axeladdict.com
toughnickel.com
Kristin, Seeing or not seeing your AdSense Pub ID is not going to relate to Google seeing it. Remember that it is used 60% of the time. So if you refresh your browser you may see it if you didn’t see it before. It’s hit or miss for Google as well. Of course, we’re still not sure if that’s the problem causing Google to reject your entry. I have all my niche sites in the authorized list. And I also have my own domains in the list.
I just tried adding a dummy nonexistent domain and I got this response with HTML code: “Copy and paste this code in the HTML of your site, between the <head> and </head> tags. Place the code on every page you want to show ads. After we’ve run some checks, your site will be ready to show ads.”
Of course we all know that HubPages already places that code in our hubs, so all we need to do is wait for Google to run some checks, as they said in the text above. I guess it takes time, and will they only check once when HubPages Pub ID is used and not ours? That could be a problem.
I never paid attention to how long I waited in the past. When I added patientslounge.com and youmemindbody.com after my hubs were moved, I checked the next day and they were authorized. But that was some time ago already, and maybe there is a problem now.
Thanks Glen. I appreciate your thoughts and Brandon's, too.
Just to clarify, I only attempted to add niche domains where I have hubs. Also, this current problem is not a matter of waiting to get them authorized. I can not even add the site without the "url can't be added as a domain" error in the first place.
Last year I had no problem adding wehavekids and wanderwisdom.
Hopefully, someone from Hubpages will reply to my email soon, even just to let me know the issue is being looked into.
Both that you added are relatively new domains, right? So Google could not have blocked them or they may not have reached the limit yet. I just added those two too, and I do not have hubs on them. But the ads.txt should have my pub-ID so let's see what happens.
I was wondering about ads.txt too. Maybe Google only approves sites that have our Pub ID in ads.txt. There is a separate ads.txt for each niche domain, so check to see if your ID is in the ones where you don’t have hubs. (I don’t think so). Such as patientslounge.com/ads.txt
Mine is in toughnickel but I cannot add it. The problem is not that we are not getting approved. We cannot even add a site to the queue to be approved. The two sites that Ktrapp mentioned that I added were successfully added to the queue to be verified. Adsense has blocked us from adding the other niche sites or the limit to the number of people who can add it as a personal website has been crossed. There must be a limit, because we are techincally a revenue share site and the niche sites need to be set up that way as mentioned in another reply I made earlier. Hubpages.com is set up that way, the niche sites need to be set up the same way by the team.
I'm not sure if they're new domains. I've been out of the loop here for several years (except to keep some hubs updated) but I remember you and Glenn. Just as helpful now as years ago.
Anyway - patientslounge isn't verifying, but youmemindbody is verified now on my adsense sites list.
I seriously wish Hubpages would provide an official response.
Thanks again.
Interesting. You and Brandon have confirmed that there is indeed a problem. But I don’t think it’s a limitation issue. It must be something else. The ads.txt file has no limits. So, why would Google have limits for adding authorized domains?
I think they do because there is a different way to set up a site for revenue share. The fact that a site cannot even be added to the verification queue makes it seem like it's blacklisted for some reason. But, they are not really blacklisted because some of us have a few of the niche sites set up under my sites and those are still fine.
Thanks for the additional input from you and Brandon. And good to know you experienced the same issue, Brandon.
This seems to be an issue between Adsense and Hubpages, meaning there's nothing we can do without their help.
I contacted Google and will let you know if I get a response. Last week I also posted this issue on an HP forum for HP to see and emailed team@hubpages.com, but have gotten no response.
Do you know of any other way to contact Hubpages? I would think most people trying to add a niche site to their list of Adsense verified sites would have this same problem.
Glenn reading through the comments it seems like ktrapp should be entering her Hubs into the URL Channels in adsense.?
No agvulpes, please don’t confuse people with incorrect information if you don’t know what you are taking about. I see you only have two hubs out of 60 in niche sites, so you probably never noticed you needed to do this yet.
The “URL Channels” is used for reporting, not for controlling malicious use of your AdSense code. We are talking about “Sites” that you permit to use your code.
Google makes it very clear with an example in AdSense showing that one needs to enter only “example.com” as the domain of the site one wants to receive revenue from. You obviously never looked there or you would have seen that too. Besides, Brandon already made this clear too, and he always gives correct information.
Kristin, Brandon already answered your question correctly so no need for me to do so. Just want to add that the https:// is not necessary. Just enter the domain of the niche site as Brandon mentioned.
For those who don’t know where to do this, click on “Sites” in your AdSense Account and then click the blue “Add Site” button.
That’s exactly what I’m doing; I’m only adding the domain, for example, wehavekids.com. I added two last summer 2018 without any issue, but now when I am trying to add more network sites where I have hubs, it says “url can’t be added as site” even though I’m only entering a domain (not full url to one of my hubs).
Thank you so much for your response. I wonder if anyone else has this issue.
I thought once the article moves over to the niche site Adsense picks it up automatically. I don't have to do anything on my end. Is that right?
I had to add the niche sites to my list of Sites on Adsense. And only then do I see my portion of the earnings which gets added to my Adsense balance.
I added two last year, but now I get an error when I try to add more. I wish Hubpages would weigh in on this, as I only can comment on my experience.

I closed all Google Adsense. Then tried to open new account, but was denied. So, I found out that you need a new email address. I did that, and they refused again. I just went into the new email account, and these idiots approved my adsense even though they had sent a message to the old...

So now my AdSense application is now being denied. I cannot log into my old email because I no longer have that email account. I want my AdSense account linked to my new email address but I can't log into the old one. What can I do? Help is greatly appreciated.

Well, that’s nice, very nice. I haven’t got a clue of what I did wrong. And after filling in the online appeal form they told me they had reviewed my account information, taken my feedback into account, but still had concluded that my AdSense account has posed a significant risk. And I have no idea...

Will you please correct the problem as I don't know how to do that?

I have been trying for months to have an AdSense account approved, but my latest application was rejected for the following reason (given by AdSense):"Domain ownership: To complete the AdSense approval process, you need to connect your site to AdSense. It’s so we can confirm you're that the...

So I've been a Hubpage and Squidoo writer for the past 5 years. Recently, my 185 Squidoo hubs were transferred over to Hubpages and to start earning money, I applied for the Google adsense program about 2 weeks ago. It appears that my account was approved for a couple days and then I...
