How are your hubs doing traffic wise?

I have noticed that the traffic has taken a nosedive lately. And it's continuing to decline. Kind of disheartening. What about you guys? Is there any reason why this is happening?

Traffic fluctuates quite a big, often without reason (aside from Google updates and the likes). I wouldn't be too concerned!

There will always be fluctuations to all articles/hubs due to algorithms, that's a given from Google. Certain articles will be subject to seasonal changes - on gardening and the like, others sensitive to educational timetables, term times etc etc. Other hubs may just become unfashionable because they're not evergreen and relevant.
So when you suggest that traffic is down do you mean over the long term (one year say, without additional new hubs) or short/medium term (as in a Google algorithm hit say)...and is this observation taken from a set number of hubs - that is, you haven't written any new ones recently and do not intend to - or is the decline despite your adding new hubs on a regular basis?
I'm constantly adding new articles and find my traffic steadily going up over time, which spurs me on. Admittedly I've been at it for a long time and have seen year on year increases, algorithms notwithstanding.

Mine is an annual temporary drop because my topic is seasonal and this time of year is mostly off season, but a 33% drop is still significant.  I have been ill so have not written or updated as often, but I'm still working at it.

Traffic go up, traffic go down, traffic go back up again. It's the nature of the beast.

I always picture some guy at Google HQ twisting the dials that control their various algorithms, like "What does THIS one do?" all day long.

Meh. It was amazing for a few months after the Maven acquisition but once the Medic Fix update hit last year I've continually had mediocre traffic. That's just how it is with this type of thing and sometimes I'll have one article that just does amazingly and a few months later it flips and my "popular" articles decline while other ones rise. It all depends on algorithms! Don't let it discourage you.

Thank you. I've been here for years now and the fluctuations still are scary. Should be getting used to it by now.

Traffic is certainly not great at the moment. For sure, it changes like the weather, but I feel that we are entitled to moan, especially if our regular earnings are big enough to have an impact on our lives. I work pretty hard on HP and it's frustrating when there's a dip. Hopefully things will get better, but this is the most lucrative time of the year, so it feels like it may be an opportunity lost.

Frankly never bothered about traffic. My take is the traffic on hubpages is no great shakes. At least for me and tens of others
