Should I delete it or not?

    Hi Hubbers,

I currently have this one article that I personally know that would not be able to pass the Quality assessment test. The Hubscore is 49. It's also not getting any traffic. Should I delete it to improve my current hub scores tallies? And just create a new one? Thanks, everyone! ^_^

Without having a link to the article, I cannot give you a specific opinion, other than to say that hub scores have no influence on views or earnings, they're just a general indicator of what the HP algorithm thinks.

If you are posting the article for people to read, then it is by definition failing, as it's not published and it's not getting any views, so you either improve it or delete it.

        Hi Paul,

        Here's the link to the article. https://hubpages.com/business/how-to-ea … ney-online

I realized that the article's niche is already so crowded. Anyway, thanks for the advice. ^^

Before deleting it, consider trying to improve it.  I know that the topic is over-saturated, so perhaps you could write about your own experiences trying to earn money online.

If you know what's wrong with it, you could try to improve it so it would pass, and get traffic.

I have been around for a long time. Many of my hubs are not getting traffic and have a low score for obvious reasons. They were made at a time when I was a newbie. Then there are ones which have a low hub score but are getting decent traffic. I have decided to keep the ones getting traffic and I am letting go of no-traffic, low hub-score pages that are not interesting for me to work on or improve anymore. Maybe this way you can filter out what to keep or delete.

Hi Drew if you are deleting it because of the hub score, do not do so.  If you have had it on the site for at least a year, and it is not good enough to be moved to a network site, I would recommend deleting it and writing it again so that it will be moved. (I have deleted a lot and it may help with traffic. It may not, depending on who you believe.)
If the subject you have written on gets traffic, it is worth doing it as well as you can. I have an article on Berber names for a very rare African breed of dog. I knew when I wrote it there would be few searches, and only a few people a month even bother to read it. It has a low score but that does not matter, because it does help a few people a few times a month.

Wow. I have lots of articles that are featured but are not getting transferred to network sites. I was wondering if Hubpages will automatically transfer it if they already think that my improved article is good enough, or should I pass it manually? Ive been trying my best to improve them so I don't know what's wrong.

Arensshi, I took a look at your GERD article and the beginning sections are too similar to other articles on the web. Take a few sentences from your intro, paste them into Google and you will see what I mean. It will trip the duplicate content filter and will never be moved to a network site. Work has to be original on HP, so find a way to make it unique.

Some of your images are correctly attributed; others are not.

The Hubscore is not a useful indicator in this matter, BTW.

Also, the topic is as you said, way over-saturated. Sorry to put it this way too but the suggestions you gave, while workable, have already been mentioned tens of thousands of times.

But I feel it shouldn't all go to waste. You should unpublish, but perhaps you could consider rewriting the subject from another viewpoint. I, for one, would love to read a frank review of whether these money-making ventures actually work, or earn any form of decent revenue.

To share, survey sucks. You need to expend significant amounts of time just to get a few bucks. I tried it before and I ended up earning a miserly 25 bucks after half a year. (And it was painful having to answer all those questions every few days)

Thanks for everyone's advice. I really appreciate it. I finally got a direction on what to do with that hub. Okay, time to write and edit again. ^_^
