Can someone remind me how to find where traffic is coming from for a specific article? For some reason I cannot seem to find the right tab in GA and HP's stats page is not lining up with the account settings page views.

I'm trying to find out if these are true views and if so where they are coming from. HP stats on the article itself, only shows 8 traffic views for the whole week which doesn't make sense if the views on my account page are correct. They seem to be, as GA is showing similar views, but I can't seem to find how to see the specific traffic sources in GA.

I'd love to know if this article was shared on social media somewhere or if this is all coming from Google or other search engines.

Go to Behavior - click on Secondary Dimension, then click Acquisition and then Source

      Shows you article, shows source

You can also go to Acquisition and then Social, then Network Referrals and then click Secondary Source, click on Behavior and then Landing Page

You'll see what social networks are sending traffic to each individual article

Doesn't direct traffic mean that it came from people actually typing in the url or going back to a bookmarked post? Over a 100 direct hits seems unlikely from an article that rarely sees 5 views a day. So strange.

Yeah, that's what those are. I think sometimes people already on one of the Hubpages sites click on a link to your article from another article can cause that to happen too. I can't remember why but I was talking to lobobrandon about that awhile back, maybe he'll chime in.
