    Hi,

The editorial team got back to me after I submitted to WanderWisdom my article https://discover.hubpages.com/travel/wo … -tradition about an Irish tradition, saying the content doesn't quite match the scope of the site.

Would Holidappy be a better fit? I have to wait another week before I can re-submit it.

    Thanks!

This is just my opinion, but to me, I think this would fit with Holidappy. By the way, interesting read.

        Hi Janis,

Thank you so much for the feedback! I am not familiar with Holidappy (I didn't even know this site existed before yesterday!) and I'd like to make sure I find the right niche.

Your article is being reviewed for placement on a different Network Site. You don't need to resubmit it.

        Hi Matt,

Thank you for your help. The email I received said:

"The Editor who reviewed your article suggests that you address the following issues:

        Site Mismatch:
Each Network Site has a unique focus. Unfortunately, the content of your article is not a good fit for the site in question. Consider reviewing a list of our Network Sites to see what topics and article types fit best on each site.

When you have made the requested changes, simply visit the live article and click the “submit to a HubPages Network Site” button above your article’s title to begin the submission process."

Ignore that. I checked on your article and it is being reviewed for a different Network Site.

I don't "get" the rejection of an article because it's been submitted to the "wrong" niche. I've had many articles in the past that they just accepted and then put into a different niche to the one I suggested.

When I was in this same situation as you, I kept submitting to different niches and never got anywhere.

They could just suggest a different niche to you or put it there. Or reject the article outright.

You have my sympathies because this is the most unhelpful type of rejection imho.

Thanks Paul. Yes, it would be useful if the editing team would simply upload the hub to a different network site from the one the author chose.

Waiting for two weeks between submissions is long, I understand it's their way to buy time while they get hundreds of submissions, but still...

Are you currently only updating existing hubs instead of writing new ones?

Thank you for the heads up! It might be useful to add another template email reply to the existing automatic messages that you send to authors, saying that a submitted hub is being considered for a different network site.
