what is the procedure of submitting the links of your hubs to search engines?
Submitting your hub url's to search engine's is unnecessary so I wouldn't worry about it. Some people ping a new hub using a pinging service such as pingates.
I do not really understand the mechanism of pinging, what will this achieve, does pinging alert the search engines to the presence of a new hub? thank you for the reply btw
The search engines do crawl HubPages regularly, so it is not necessary to submit. However, it can speed the "finding" of your Hubs up a bit, although some people like the search engines to find Hubs naturally.
I have a Hub on the topic, if your interested.
A website which gives the facility of free backlinks is http://addurl.yn.lt . You can take the opportunity to submit your website to 40 search engines here.
Would love to read your hub on this topic. Can you please paste the link

I have made some changes in some of my hubs and am wondering if I should resubmit these url's or if they will automatically be "crawled" and I do not need to resubmit. Any help will be appreciated and I hope this isn't a really dumb question.

Just wondering if it is spamming to submit your hubs to the same social networking sites more than once? For example, if you wait a week or so between and you are trying to get your hub more traffic can you submit it again to Twitter or Facebook? Or is this a bad idea. Also if so then how long...

I thought if a hubpage was listed in Google search it was featured. But apparently that is not the truth. I guess I will keep the hubs up and run my own check on them.
