If I take a (rather lengthy) status post I made on Face Book, and expand it into a Hub, am I likely to get hit with the duplicate content paddle?
If you take a Facebook post and expanded it would be duplicate content. You would have to rewrite it to make it unique. Even if you could delete the status, it could remain in the system awhile, too.
Ah, pooh. Okay, Re-writes, I can do....I can keep the basic theme and concept intact, I assume....after all, when you come right down to it, there are probably very few actual original thoughts anywhere on Earth.....
I agree, lucky for us we only have to be original to whatever is in copyscape. I have often pondered, with so many people on the planet, how can any thoughts be original!
I often write on popular subjects. I have never been accused with plagiarism or copying others work. I put things in my own words and never seem to have a problem at all.
I did copy myself accidentally because I had posted a recipe on a forum years back and forgot.

My most recent hub was flagged as duplicate. It is not a duplicate hub but I have published it elsewhere on the net. Is this why it was flagged? If so, can I get it unflagged? How bad does this effect my hubscore? Thanks.

Does anyone know what percentage of a hub can be "duplicate content"? I have a hub that was unpublished because it had a lot of statistics on it...so I am wondering if I can add content to make it ok?
