Les Trois Chenes Lensography

Updated on November 22, 2014

What Did I Do on Squidoo?

I joined Squidoo in 2010 with the intention of writing articles about my life in Limousin, South West France. My family and I arrived at our old, French farmhouse, Les Trois Chenes, in the tiny hamlet of Videix in 2002 and now, nearly ten years later, I'm running painting holidays, a bed and breakfast and a holiday cottage deep in the heart of the countryside. If you think it would be boring living here in 'hidden France', then think again! There's never a dull moment in Limousin.

So I write about this region, the villages and towns, the people, the markets, the food and local products but there is so much more! I write up the local recipes, and write about gardening, and our animals and history and culture and festivals. I write about all the things there are to see and do here and I've found the list is endless. I've organised the lenses according to subject but some of the lenses appear several times because they fit into several categories equally well.

But, of course, I've caught the Squidoo bug and suddenly the world is full of interesting things to write about. I read, see films, travel and I've moved around a lot so I know quite a few places very well.

Then the articles need illustrations. My photography skills have come on apace and I'm never without my camera now, so there might be more picture lenses in the future.

I do hope you enjoy reading these articles as much as I've enjoyed making them, and remember, if you ever venture out as far Videix, do come and stay with us.

Sadly, Squidoo came to an untimely end in 2014 and is no more. All my Squidoo articles became Hubs.

Some of My Art Work Features In This Book - It's a great drawing course too!

Collins Complete Drawing Course
Collins Complete Drawing Course

This is a great reference book to have if you're a budding artist, and it would make a superb gift for anyone who loves art and would like to learn to draw. It is hardback, large (but not too big!), and bursting with colour photos.

It is also exactly what it says, an art course. It takes you the various steps of drawing in a logical and helpful way. Very sound and full of interesting information.

Where on Earth Am I? - Where is Les Trois Chenes?

Lensographies are so helpful. Looking though all your lenses I couldn't resist checking a few of them out.

This is a fine lensography with enough personal info to raise it above just a list of your Squidoo lenses. Enjoyed the photography and the glimpse into your Squidoo journey. Blessed by a squid angel.

@TonyPayne: I'm so pleased that you think it's up to scratch, after the little disaster with the 'publish button'. My father took us fossil hunting in the Lyme Regis area and I do remember finding some. It's a lovely place to be brought up and so very interesting. Thanks for the comments and blessing.

I love your lenses, they are a breath of fresh air. This is a great lensography too, nicely done. It's interesting to see that one of your favourite books is about Mary Anning. She found her fossils in Lyme Regis, in the county of Dorset where I grew up, so this is close to home for me, and the area is now known as The Jurassic Coast. Nicely done, Blessed.
